Mas d’Agenais was founded by the Romans and this village stands on a picturesque site by the Garonne lateral Canal and overlooks the whole Garonne basin. When looking back on history, Le Mas d’A. has been through many a disruption and the walls, the Romanic city gate and the Romanic church, etc… testify to this restless past.
